Gogoleski, Voted to HCS BOE with *MOST VOTES* CENSURED by Board along w/ Keller For Making Libs Cry

SCHOOL BOARD MEETING - CENSURE

Last night’s Hartland school board meeting was packed! It was standing room only, as the community was treated to “The Greatest Show On Earth”. It was an exhausting 4 hour long meeting, but the gamesmanship was definitely on display!

There was a serious safety incident that happened on 9/23/22 at Farms Intermediate School that ended in injury to at least 12 students. A teacher was injured, and another teacher was sent to the hospital for injuries that resulted in hospitalization and a worker’s comp claim. One of the students got “Choked Out”, and there were threats of “shooting” and “killing”. Police were not called by the school Administration! The next day outraged parents actually called the police, filed complaints, and set the action in motion. If you read the Police Reports, and the School Incident Reports, you would be angry, afraid, and outraged too!! Parents demanded action. Our three new Board members asked the Board to form a Safety Committee to address this issue, and the many other incidents that have happened in Hartland recently; however, the “Old Regime”, after discussion with Chuck Hughes, voted Down the motion in a 4-3 decision! The community remained frustrated, so when Glenn Gogoleski and Greg Keller were invited to appear on a local Podcast to talk about Safety, they agreed. Both of them stated publicly on the Show that their opinions were their own and they were not speaking for the Board of Education. Superintendent Hughes was furious, and blasted out a District wide email, full of lies and misinformation, and asked the Board to Censure the two Board members. I'm sorry that Chuck and his Administration were embarrassed, but the Clean Slate candidates ran for the school board on a Safety Platform, and the community agreed.They showed up in huge numbers last night to affirm their support, and another 264 people watched the Zoom broadcast. Apparently, as evidenced by the attached email, Chuck Hughes thinks he has a say on when 1st Amendment Rights apply! The “Old Regime” was angered that they didn’t seek approval from the Board for their 1st Amendment Rights, first. The discussion was shallow and mean, but resulted in the “Good Old Boys” voting 4-3 to Censure Glenn Gogoleski and Greg Keller. It has no meaning or consequences, it’s just their attempt to push out and divide our new candidates from the “us” Board. Folks, we need to win another election to give new ideas and safety a chance!!

The hypocrisy of this action had many up in arms after they heard how superintendent Hughes defended an HCS teacher who attended an anti-Trump rally carrying a sign that read “Hartland Teachers Care”. Her 1st Amendment rights were protected, not censored. Can we all agree that a Superintendent’s political views shouldn’t interfere with the safety of our children? Stay tuned, things are about to get crazy as Superintendent Hughes tries desperately to hang on to his job!
