Livingston County Superintendents Stonewall on Safety, Administrative Violations, Bow to Union

Brighton and Hartland simultaneously have been riddled with parental pushback since the COVID wars. We say wars, because it was simply that, parents said NO to regulations, violations of liberties and constitutional rights, Superintendents buried their heads in the prolific " well we followed the health departments advice" and what has ensued in Livingston County since that time is nothing short of a propaganda war.


Hartland.

Embattled Superintendent Chuck Hughes, found himself the front and center of social media scrutiny in 2022 School Board Elections, when he decided to team up with an out of district parent to provide pushback to the favorable CLEAN SLATE School Board Candidates. The Facebook group advertised signs for sale to place in front of the CLEAN SLATE SIGNS, a counter attack which was a direct violation of Michigan campaign finance law.


Chuck himself was not happy with the successful marketing, campaigning and success of the CLEAN SLATE. (Gogoleski had the most votes by the way) Chuck's buddy an out of district parent, opened a Facebook group making the group description statement that she started the group to provide DIRECT answers from existing board members, Cindy Shaw, Chuck Hughes himself as well as other administrators. Shortly after the Lantern broke this story, the admins all quickly changed their names to " Kim Chi", removed Chuck Hughes from the Facebook group and reneged their opening statement that the " Kim Chi's " were working directly with him. We KNOW better Chuck.


Fast forward to where we are today, a tenured and beloved secretary is on leave due to a social media post and baseless allegations. Where is the justice in this? Chuck does as he pleases while employees who may disagree are slapped on the wrist and put on a time out?

  • Why wasn't CHUCK HUGHES put on administrative leave for participating in a political campaign AGAINST the CLEAN SLATE candidates in 2022?

  • Why wasn't CHUCK HUGHES put on administrative leave for participating in an attack on the parents of his own district by supporting a group of people attacking Hartland parents running for school board?

  • Why wasn't CHUCK HUGHES put on administrative leave for allowing a man, not a district teacher, to perform ultrasounds on CHILDREN!? Yes there is even police reports!

  • Why wasn't CHUCK HUGHES put on administrative leave for NOT acting on MULTIPLE complaints of THREATS by a student that is putting the entire district at security risk?


We digress.

Chuck Hughes is a Union Operative. He abides by the unwritten order of silencing anyone willing to speak the truth that is counter to his beliefs. Since the COVID wars he has done what he could to lock parents out of the buildings and keep them at arms length, unless you are friends with Cindy Shaw, you are not allowed inside.


Brighton.

Superintendent Outlaw has stonewalled multiple board members who want to remove a Teachers Union office from taking up space at the districts high school. For free.

In case you missed what we just said FREE, no rent has ever been paid. In relatively 40 years.

Outlaw holds unilateral authority to stand up and do WHAT IS RIGHT and remove this political action group. They do not belong in a school district. The Board members in favor of this have the opinion that: well they have been there for 40 years or so for free, why mess up a good thing? Don't believe us? Go watch the last School Board Meeting on YouTube.


Outlaw also holds his emergency powers from COVID wars which does no require board votes for his actions. He's the Supreme Ruler.

Are we talking about a school district or a mini nation, you decide.


Instead of pushing the Union out the door, Outlaw instead rams through the school board a silly resolution that further ALLOWS the Union office to STAY inside the High School. Not only do they have a locked office, use phone service and internet, they hold District ID tags for unfettered access to the buildings. In last months Board Meeting, it was even brought up that the Union employees were NEVER BACKGROUND Checked UNTIL the School Board Members began to ask OUTLAW to remove them!


HOW IS THIS NOT A SAFETY CONCERN!?


Once again, instead of removing them, he enabled them and swept the entire situation under the rug. Parents want to know when we will be receiving our own office FREE of charge just like the Union?

We won't hold our breaths Matt.


What is the pattern here?


Superintendents towing a line of improprieties because they do not want to offend Union Teachers.

Stop this hogwash. Stop this placating people who want to jam our kids with gender ideology and fascism into their brains.

Stop acting like spineless cowards.

DO YOUR JOBS!


Can someone please tell us when DOING WHAT IS Right stopped becoming a thing? We will wait...


These are the professionals. They RUN and DIRECT our SCHOOLS. WE PAY their SALARIES on our backs. They each make around $200,000 per year PLUS BONUSES. They make decisions that should be PROTECTING our kids, instead they are playing cloak and dagger with the Teachers Unions, ignoring safeguards that should be in place.


It's time they BOTH should begin to do their job unbiasedly, if not, they need to be relieved from their positions. Parents will be happy to find someone who wants to STAND UP IN FRONT of CHILDREN and DEFEND THEM from the EVIL of the Teachers Unions, not stand behind them and cower in fear.
